01 · Where it started
From physics to dentistry
Dr. Sangmin Shin, our principal doctor, was born in Busan, South Korea. He earned a PhD in Physics at Seoul National University and went on to lead a research team at Samsung Electronics.
He then returned to the same university to study dentistry, graduated with his DDS, and brought a scientific perspective into clinical practice.
His motto is the line our four clinics work by:

Yes, we welcome new patients and families at all four clinics. Send a visit request online or call the clinic you prefer, and we call to confirm a time.

Yes. Consultations and care are available in English and Korean at all four clinics, from your first visit to follow-up care. Some clinics also speak other languages; each clinic's page lists them.
What dental insurance plans does Smile Well Dental accept?
We bill most dental insurers directly, including Pacific Blue Cross, Manulife, Sun Life and Canada Life, and we accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Please bring your insurance details to your visit.
